In silent yoga, every participant hears your voice and the music through wireless headphones. There are no speakers in the room. Anyone walking past hears nothing. Anyone taking part hears only the class. You may also see it called quiet yoga or silent disco yoga. Teachers use it in the park, on the beach and in studios where two classes run side by side.
You need a transmitter, a headset with microphone for yourself and headphones for each participant.
Teaching outdoors without speakers. In the park or on the beach, only your group hears the class. Bystanders hear no music and you don't have to talk over the traffic.
More calm in class. Your voice and the music sound close by, even when you speak softly. That helps with a guided meditation, with breathwork and during the final relaxation.
Two classes side by side. Is another class running in the room next door? With a separate set and a separate transmitter for each group, every group hears only its own teacher.
Count the participants in your busiest class and take that number as your starting point. Complete sets are available for 10 to 100 participants. For each set you can see which transmitter it contains and whether a headset with microphone for the teacher is included. If your group grows, you expand the set with extra headphones.
Look at the sets for yoga schools and studios, or compare all complete sets.
Silent yoga works the same way for meditation, pilates and ecstatic dance. Not sure which set fits? Send us a message via contact with the number of participants, and we will help you choose.
