Your phone
Play from the app you already use: Spotify, YouTube, a podcast or your own recording. A tablet or laptop works too.
A phone sends sound over Bluetooth to one pair of headphones, or two with some phones. For a group, you put a transmitter in between. You pair your phone with the transmitter once, and the transmitter sends the sound to all the headphones at the same time. Whether that’s ten or a hundred.
How it works
Play from the app you already use: Spotify, YouTube, a podcast or your own recording. A tablet or laptop works too.
Your phone connects to the transmitter over Bluetooth or with an audio cable. The transmitter sends the sound by radio to the headphones.
Participants switch on their headphones and choose the transmitter’s channel. No pairing, app or wifi needed. Everyone hears the same thing at the same moment.
Bluetooth or transmitter
Bluetooth is made for one listener. With a group, you run into these limits.
| Bluetooth only | With a transmitter | |
|---|---|---|
| Number of headphones | One, two with some phones | As many as you like |
| Pairing | Each pair of headphones separately | Only your phone, once |
| Range | Usually around 10 metres | Up to 100 metres with the TX20, up to 500 metres with the T80 Pro |
| Two programmes at once | No | Yes, with one transmitter per channel |
| Add your voice | No | Yes, with a headset microphone |
Music and voice
Do you teach while the music plays, as in yoga or a group class? Then choose a set with a headset microphone for yourself. The group hears your voice and the music together, without a sound system in the room.
Choose by group size
Every set contains the headphones and a transmitter, ready to use. Choose the number of headphones for your largest group.
Frequently asked questions
Usually not. Most phones send sound to one pair of Bluetooth headphones, some to two. If you want more people to listen along, you need a transmitter. You pair it with your phone once and it sends the sound to all the headphones in the set.
No. The headphones receive the transmitter’s signal by radio. Switching them on and choosing the channel is enough.
There’s no limit. If your group grows, you order extra headphones and they pick up the same transmitter.
Yes. Connect your phone, tablet, laptop or mixer to the transmitter using a cable or Bluetooth. Play music in the app you already use, whether that’s Spotify, YouTube or SoundCloud, or put on a podcast. You don’t need an extra app from us.
Yes. Each group gets its own transmitter on its own channel, with its own phone or other source. The FD-Pro and RD-Pro have five channels, the other headphones three.
