The guide speaks into a microphone. Visitors listen through headphones as they look around the collection. There’s no need to play the commentary through the gallery’s sound system.
Why this works
Does the guide take the group through several galleries? The transmitter has a built-in rechargeable battery, so it goes with them. Consider the length of the tour too: a short introduction makes different demands on comfort and battery life than a longer tour.
Every guide working at the same time needs a separate transmitter and channel, as does each language being used. Visitors select the channel on their headphones.
Agree on who hands out the headphones, where visitors return them and who checks that everything is back. Set aside a dedicated place to store and charge the set for the next group.
Choose by group size
Choose enough headphones for your largest tour group. Will several guides be working at the same time? Then you’ll need more transmitters. We’re happy to help you work out how many.
In use
Connect the guide’s microphone or your phone to the transmitter.
Each language or guide needs a separate transmitter on its own channel.
Visitors put the headset on and pick their language.
Put the headphones back in the storage box and connect them to the charger. Ready for the next group.
Not sure about the number?
Tell us how many visitors you guide at once. We’ll say which set fits.
